HDSPARK is designed to support the increasing number of video professionals who are using tapeless acquisition and simply need to see their projects output in real-time, using affordable HDMI monitors . Based on the PCI Express form factor, the HDSPARK solution includes EDIUS® nonlinear editing software and an HDMI output board for full-resolution realtime preview monitoring. Embedded HDMI audio and separate stereo RCA jacks provide high quality audio monitoring. It’s ideal for tapeless editing or working in a file-based, networked environment. 
HDSPARK empowers you with constantly synched, full-resolution preview of effects and content directly from the EDIUS timeline.

The HDSPARK solution can handle any mix of high- and standard-definition (HD and SD) video content; unlimited video, audio, title, and graphics layers; and any combination of real-time effects.

Thomson has just released a new version of their AVCHD2HQ software with some great new features and performance boosts.
AVC2HQ software converts high quality AVCHD footage into easy to edit formats like Canopus HQ and now MPEG2. 
If you have EDIUS or EDIUS Neo on your computer you can download and use AVCHD2HQ free of charge.
An exciting new feature is the ability to use the new FireCoder Blu accelerator board for lightning quick conversions. 
If you need the ultimate performance in converting AVCHD you can even put multiple FireCoder Blu boards in one computer.

Registered Canopus Software users can download AVCHD2HQ - go to the  Canopus Website,  create an account and download from 'general utilities'.
